Kolkata Knight Riders vs Sunrisers Hyderabad - Eliminator Preview

Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad lock horns for the all important Eliminator of IPL 2017 at Bangalore's M.Chinnaswamy Stadium. The defending champions, Sunrisers Hyderabad would be hoping to put in their best performance against the mercurial Kolkata Knight Riders team and move forward to play the 2nd Qualifier against the Mumbai Indians on Friday. On the other hand, after putting up a dismal batting performance in their last match against Mumbai Indians at Eden Gardens, KKR would be looking to make amends and be on the button right from the word go in the Eliminator.

To put an end to their batting woes, KKR's top oder needs to take the responsibility in this all important clash if they have to repeat the glory of 2014 in the 10th edition of IPL. For that to happen, Gautam Gambhir has to take the onus and open the innings with Chris Lynn. A good solid start would go a long way in having a distinct advantage over their opponents, who are in cracking form. If we remember, the last time when these two teams met, David Warner had played a blinder of 126 off just 59 balls, which helped SRH amass a score of 209 runs in their 20 overs, ultimately resulting in a 48 runs victory for the Sunrisers team.

Sunrisers would be feeling a lot more confident going into this match, having won their last match against Kings XI in a comprehensive manner, compared to their counterparts Knight Riders, who had lost their previous match against Mumbai Indians through some lacklustre batting performance and lack of intensity. They have to pull up their socks to put it across the team from Hyderbad.

All in all this match promises to be a mouth-watering contest with both the sides evenly matched and keeping in mind the significance of the encounter, M.Chinnaswamy would be a witness to something really special tonight.
